GWA Mooring Buoy Inventory

Mooring Buoys must not be installed within 30 metres (100 feet) of the float or dolphin.

Although the GWA does NOT have any direct responsibility for the mooring buoys in the vicinity of the wharf, experience has shown that it can be  helpful for us as a community to be aware of who owns which buoy in case of an emergency (like the recent boat sinking) or suspicious behaviour (such as tender theft or buoy squatting). 

So, if you own or rent a mooring buoy near Grantham’s Wharf, please identify your buoy by completing the form below. You can also (1) include your phone number in case a neighbour notices an issue with your buoy and wants to call you, and (2) indicate whether you are willing to rent your buoy to Grantham’s residents or their guests (several GWA members have asked us about availability of overnight, monthly, and even seasonal moorage).

The GWA strongly discourages the rental of mooring buoys to non-Granthams residents and their guests (because the wharf and especially the limited dinghy dock are reserved for Granthams residents & GWA members, and no overnight parking is permitted at the top of the hill).  

No fee or cost is associated with this service (unless you feel like donating to the GWA :o). Of course, regular fees apply if you tie your tender to the Dinghy Dock or store it on the Boat Rack or on the adjacent hillside… see the Watercraft page for details.
